The Kemper Family started Kemper Cognitive Wellness at a time when studies were beginning to indicate effective strategies to push back against cognitive decline. They experienced firsthand the impact Alzheimer’s had on their family for generations. Kemper Cognitive Wellness exists to help individuals prevent, push back, and live well with Alzheimer’s and other Dementias.

Root Cause Medicine
Kemper Cognitive Wellness uses principles of root cause medicine and systems biology. Our goal is to provide clients with lasting solutions to reach optimal health and wellness. Also known as functional medicine, this methodology focuses on uncovering the source of symptoms and drivers for disease.
At Kemper Cognitive Wellness, the team utilizes the tenants of functional medicine: biological data, personal story, health history and goals, along with a variety of other diagnostic tools, to uncover the drivers of disease.
Start With An Assessment
Many clients begin their wellness journey with us through a Discovery Assessment of Health. This program begins with an extensive health history profile provided by the client, which the doctor reviews before meeting with you. At the first appointment with Dr. Bergman, you will spend 75-90 minutes discussing history, goals, additional factors and considerations.
The assessment includes extensive lab work and consists of over 100 genetic, nutrition, hormones, lipids, and chronic disease markers. Additional labs may be recommended based on your history and symptoms of the client. Also included is a consultation with our registered dietician. We believe food is medicine and essential to meeting your wellness goals.
The second Discovery appointment with Dr. Bergman includes a detailed findings review and personalized next-step plan including recommendations to address the health concerns identified. The recommendations will include an Action Plan with critical steps to follow for health improvement and healing.
