Kemper's Know Your Risk Plan Includes:
What To Expect:
- Pre-Visit (Phone call with Kemper Cognitive Wellness team member): Your first visit will review the elements of Know Your Risk and the process for completing each step. You will complete consent forms and questionnaires, including lifestyle and exposure questionnaires. In addition, you will schedule a day and time for your blood tests and neurocognitive computerized test. This information session will take approximately 20 minutes. An additional 30 minutes is needed to complete the questionnaires at your own pace.
- Visit 2 Lab Draw and Testing (In-person or virtual): During your second appointment, you'll complete two key components of the Know Your Risk program: a blood draw and a computerized neurocognitive test. This visit typically takes approximately one hour.
For in-person appointments, a licensed phlebotomist will draw your blood onsite, followed by a cognitive test administered by a trained Kemper team member.
For virtual appointments, our team will help coordinate a local lab for your blood draw. The computerized cognitive test will then be completed online with the support and guidance of a Kemper associate.
- Visit 3 (In-person or virtual): Once your results are ready, we will have a meeting to explore your outcomes together and discuss potential risk factors. You will receive a comprehensive report detailing your level of risk as well as specific findings. Visit 3 typically requires 45 minutes to complete.
