MicroNutrient & Food Sensitivity Testing
Food Sensitivity Testing
A food sensitivity is a type of adverse reaction to a food or food chemical. Food sensitivities, also known as delayed hypersensitivities, are triggered when the immune system inappropriately reacts to a food or chemical and release pro-inflammatory chemicals known as “mediators” into the bloodstream. These mediators lead to a wide variety of symptoms negatively affecting one's health.
Many associate a food sensitivity with gut issues like gas, bloating and regularity issues. However, diet can play a primary role in provoking many seemingly unrelated issues including joint pain, brain fog, migraines, autoimmune conditions, fatigue, and skin issues like eczema. Symptoms can vary greatly from person to person and are not easily managed with traditional treatments.
Delayed food sensitivities often go unchecked, leaving you with symptoms that are difficult to manage. When a food sensitivity is suspected, the first step is to identify the foods and food chemicals causing the reaction. The good news is, there are blood tests that can identify the foods provoking the reaction.
Available for at-home or in-office blood draw.
Micronutrient Testing
Micronutrients are vitamins and minerals vital to disease prevention, general wellbeing, and development.
Many Americans are exceeding caloric intake guidelines, but not meeting micronutrient requirements. Nutrient deficiency can be linked to or negatively impact chronic health conditions, including gastrointestinal issues, anxiety, depression, Alzheimer's Disease, Diabetes, and more. External factors, such as chronic stress or prescription drugs, may deplete the body of essential vitamins and minerals which may lead to micronutrient depletion.

The only way to know is to get tested!
*The micronutrient test:
Provides a comprehensive nutritional analysis by measuring functional deficiencies at the cellular level, assessing how well the body utilizes vitamins, minerals, amino/fatty acids, antioxidants, and metabolites. This test conveys the body’s need for these micronutrients that enable the body to produce enzymes, hormones, and other substances essential for proper growth, development, and good health.
*The micronutrient test is only available for adults and children ages 12 and older. Available for at-home or in-office blood draw.
Supplement Information
It’s easier than ever to buy supplements online, but you might want to think twice before you do so.
According to a recent study:
- "It’s not uncommon for supplements to have additional ingredients not listed on the label, to contain more or less of an active ingredient than the label states, or to contain harmful contaminants like heavy metals.”
After testing 30 supplements, the researchers found:
- 17 products had inaccurate labels
- 13 labels listed ingredients that were not detected in the actual product
- 9 products had substances in them that were not listed on the labels
- 15 product labels had “scientific-sounding” claims on them that used terms like “research-based” or “research-supported,” but there was no substantial evidence to back up those claims—including third-party certification
- A new study found that of a small sample of supplements purchased on Amazon, more than half of the products’ contents were not reflected accurately on the facts label
What this means for you:
- Before you start taking any supplement, it's important to get tested to make sure you are taking the right supplements and the right amounts for you, as no two people are alike. Micronutrient testing is available through our store included in our assessments.
- When you’re choosing supplements, look for those that are third-party tested or have a Good Manufacturing Practices certification. That way, you can know that the supplement you’re buying contains what the supplement facts label claims.
